Apple released an update on Wednesday to its jukebox software, iTunes. The update — iTunes 7.0.1 — addresses stability and performance issues with Cover Flow, CD importing, iPod syncing and more, according to information provided by Apple. iTunes 7 was introduced in September during the Apple event that also saw the introduction of movie downloads. iTunes went through an overhaul that saw new navigation features, including Cover Flow, which lets you browse through your library as if you were flipping through a stack of CDs, with a 3D representation of albums covers that appears above the music list. The new software also added gapless playback for music and movies and integrated iPod syncing, so that users no longer need to go into Preferences to manage which files are synced with an iPod. iTunes 7.0.1 is available from Software Update in Mac OS X or from Apple’s Web site.
