MacPractice announced Monday that it is collaborating with ComChart Medical Software to integrate its MacPractice MD practice management software for physicians with ComChart EMR, an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) program used by doctors and clinics.
MacPractice MD is a Mac OS X-native practice management application that features scheduling, electronic insurance submission, image storage and word processing capabilities. ComChart provides EMR options to help doctors’ offices avoid getting mired in physical paper records.
MacPractice said the “bridge” to connect the two software systems will be available before the end of 2006. It will be free to new MacPractice MD or ComChart EMR buyers, with a $200 per year support fee.
