Digital Video Expo announced its tenth annual conference and expo will return to the Los Angeles Convention Center from November 12 – 17, 2006.
This year’s DV Expo will focus on High Definition (HD) technology, traditional video infrastructures and the emergence of “non-traditional distribution channels,” according to the show’s coordinators.
It kicks off with Apple certification training and Avid software classes, and offers a week of sessions ranging from After Effects to audio, business webcasting, cameras, HD graphics, lighting, motion graphics, podcasting and studio techniques. Sessions on business and legal issues will also be features.
Free special events are open to all attendees, including sessions sponsored by Apple and Sony, and an “Audio & Plug-In Pavilion.” The show will also host “HDV House,” an area where filmmakers, videographers and editors get expert advice on HDV production and post.
The centerpiece of the show is its show floor, featuring exhibitors including Avid, Canon, Canopus, Grass Valley, JVC, Panasonic and Sony.
Visitors to the Web site can register for a free exhibits pass; information is also available about the conference schedule.
