Blizzard Entertainment still hasn’t announced a specific release date or price, but the company has announced that its expansion pack for World of Warcraft, the Burning Crusade, will be available in a standard and Collector’s Edition. The Burning Crusade is expected to be made available before the end of the year.
The Burning Crusade is an add-on for Blizzard’s popular online role-playing game, World of Warcraft — available for both Mac OS X and Windows. The Burning Crusade expands the original game with a new area to explore, new playable races, new spells and talents for each character class, hundreds of new monsters, new high-level dungeons and zones and much more, including a higher-level cap on character experience.
The Collector’s Edition package will be available in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Like the original World of Warcraft Collector’s Edition, the special box includes exclusive extras, including the expansion pack on both CDs and DVd, a “Behind-the-Scenes” DVD, “The Art of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade” hardcover art book, an exclusive in-game pet, the Netherwhelp (the offspring of the Nether Drake flying mount), two starter packs of the forthcoming World of Warcraft trading card game, a mousepad featuring a map of the new continent of Outland, and a soundtrack CD.
