Key Ovation on Wednesday announced the availability of its Goldtouch for Mac, an ergonomic keyboard that features the ability to adjust horizontally and vertically. It costs $139.95.
The adjustable keyboard uses a standard QWERTY layout, but splays 0 to 30 degrees in the horizontal plain, splitting between the 6/7, T/Y, G/H and B/N keys. A special locking ball and socket latch mechanism also lets you adjust the keyboard for wrist pronation, vertically “tenting” the keyboard up to 30 degrees, as well.
Especially made for Mac users, the keyboard feature an Apple command key, control and option keys, CD eject, mute and volume controls. It’s compatible with Mac OS X v10.4 or later.
Key Ovation also offers the keyboard bundled with a keypad or an “ErgoSuite” combining the keyboard, keypad, mouse and gel wrist rests.
