Sony on Wednesday introduced the Altus portable headphones — high-quality over-the-ear headphones that feature up to 80kHz frequency response. They cost $150 and will ship to general retailers in November; Sony Style retail stores will have them on Thursday.
The Altus headphones feature brushed aluminum earcups, head and ear cushioning and a single-sided cord. They feature 40mm “high definition” drivers that are positioned parallel to your ear, to help reduce pressure and provide a more natural listening experience, according to Sony.
The headphones come in a drawstring pouch and fold for easy transportation.
