4S newcom GmbH has introduced iBlue, Private Branch Exchange (PBX) software that lets you set up a phone system of up to 250 Voice over IP (VoIP)-based callers, with up to 30 parallel calls.
iBlue is compact enough that it’s delivered on an iPod shuffle — it costs €2,999 (US$3,754.15). It can run on a Mac mini, and 4S newcom GmbH also includes five VoIP phones. The company will begin selling the system on November 6, 2006.
System administrators can configure inbound number blocks, users, extensions, outbound routing, and auto attendant, voicemail and conferencing features.
The company’s Web site had not been updated with information about iBlue as Macworld posted this article.
