Casual game maker PlayFirst on Tuesday announced the release of Diner Dash: Flo on the Go — the third Diner Dash game and the first to be released simultaneously for Mac OS X and Windows. It costs $19.95 and is available for download now — a playable 60-minute demo is available.
Diner Dash: Flo on the Go is the latest in the popular franchise that puts you in charge of Flo, a restaurant entrepreneur who’s following her dream of starting a success chain of eateries. You help Flo wait tables as quickly as possible, seating clients, taking orders, delivering food to them from the kitchen and cleaning up after them to seat the next round. Do so quickly and you’ll be rewarded with big tips and chances at more challenges. You can also upgrade the restaurants with new features that will attract more customers and encourage them to spend more money.
In this installment, hard-working Flo’s vacation is interrupted when she has to wait tables after her suitcase spills into the water. More and more restaurants need Flo’s help with each progressive level.
Some customers have specific needs, and Diner Dash: Flo on the Go introduces two new types of customers: Tourists and Lovebirds. The new game also features “travel-themed twists and turns,” such as turbulence and blackouts.
Another new feature in this game is “Flo’s Closet.” Because she’s lost her clothing at the start of the game, you can help pick out new outfits for Flo to help her expand her wardrobe. The new feature ties into a $500 promotion that PlayFirst is offering Diner Dash players as well.
