The Southern California MacFair returns to Cerritos College in Norwalk, Calif. on Saturday, Nov. 3 – 4, 2006. The event is now in its fifth year, and show coordinators plan dozens of seminars and workshops in addition to a large exhibit area.
More than 28 presentation seminars are planned, and 15 workshops are in the works for this year’s show. Among them presenters are Peter Mellow, winner of an Apple Outstanding Tertiary Educator award, and Arthur Maddalena, lead Mac Genius at Apple. Neil Ticktin, editor in chief and publisher of MacTech magazine, will be this year’s keynote speaker.
Workshops will focus on Photoshop, InDesign, Final Cut Pro and Aperture, Mac OS X Server and Client, FileMaker Pro, Keynote, DayLite and Flash. Instructors include James Rea, Stephen M. Burns, Scott Immerman and others. MacFair organizers recommend advance registration as lab space is limited.
More than 40 companies are participating in the event, including Xerox, ProVue Development, MacAlly, Prosoft Engineering, Elgato Systems and many others.
