Austin Sarner, the developer behind the popular
uninstaller, has turned his attention to a new application in recent months. Dubbed
Disco, Sarner set out to bring the same type of simplicity and ease of use to burning media that he brought to uninstalling applications.
Disco includes Disc spanning; full multi session support; multi file system support; one to one copies; VIDEO_TS burning; and, according to Sarner, “a bunch of disc imaging options.”
Another new feature called Discography allows the user to find out what disc any burned file is on by doing a keyword search.
With the visuals designed by Jasper Hauser and Hugo van Heuven at
Madebysofa.com, Sarner also upped the ante with the effects in Disco. AppZapper included a “zapping” sound and a screen flash when you uninstalled an application — Disco’s window “emits fully realistic rendered 3d smoke.”
Disco is currently in private beta and will be available in the first half of November.
