Audio accessory maker Monster on Monday unveiled four new accessories for Apple iPods, including the iCarPlay Wireless 200 FM transmitter, iTV Link A/V cable, iSplitter 200 Headphone Splitter and iEZClick Wireless Remote.
The $99.95 iCarPlay Wireless 200 FM transmitter lets you hear your iPod music on a nearby FM car radio. It incorporates an “AutoScan” feature that auatomatically seeks out and tunes to the clearest FM frequency available. It displays essential information on the iPod’s screen, and features three-button control. You can store three station presets, it works internationally, and comes with a 12-volt power adapter to connect to your vehicle’s cigarette lighter or accessory jack.
The iTVLink connects a video iPod to a TV; it features a dock connector on one side and S-Video and stereo audio cables on the other. A composite video adapter is also included if you’re using an older TV. Also included is a mini-USB charging port that lets you connect the iPod to a computer to sync your music, or to a Monster iSlimCharger to charge the battery. It costs $49.95.
The iSplitter 200 (not yet posted to the Monster Web site) is a $19.95 headphone splitter lets you share your iPod music with a friend. The splitter features two built-in volume controls, a quick-access mute switch, and 24k gold contacts. Other features include a protective Duraflex jacket around the cable and strain relief collar.
Last, the iEZClick is a wireless remote control for the iPod you can use while snowboarding, jogging or hiking. It connects to the transmitter using Radio Frequency (RF) and features a weather-resistant housing. It has oversized power, play/pause, volume track skip, hold and previous/next playlist buttons arranged in a “no look” pattern. The iEZClick costs $69.95.
