Infrant Technologies announced Tuesday that its ReadyNAS network attached storage appliances now include EMC’s Retrospect backup and archival software. Both Mac and Windows versions of Retrospect are included, starting with the ReadyNAS NV+ system.
The ReadyNAS NV+ includes four lockable hot-swappable Serial ATA (SATA) disk drive trays. Using Infrant’s X-RAID technology, the system can be configured in RAID Level 0, 1 or 5 configurations. Compatible with Mac, Windows, Unix and Linux clients, the system features one USB 2.0 port, Gigabit Ethernet with Jumbo frame support and Web browser-based setup. Capable of supporting up to 750GB drive mechanisms, the RAID system can hold a total of 3 terabytes (TB) of storage capacity.
Infrant is including EMC Retrospect for Macintosh Desktop Edition and Retrospect for Windows Professional Edition with five networked desktop or notebook client licenses — a $150 value.
