Quark on Thursday introduced
Quark Interactive Designer, a QuarkXPress 7 component that enables creative pros using the page layout software to create Adobe Flash content as well. It costs $199 ($99 until April 1, 2007, and educational customers can get it for free).
Quark Interactive Designer doesn’t require uses to know Flash code, but can help them produce interactive content including buttons, animations, movies and dozens of predefined actions for transitioning pages, playing sounds, sliding objects and creating interactive menus, according to Quark. And because it’s a QuarkXPress component, users elminate issues involved in potential conversion issues, too.
Quark Interactive Designer requires QuarkXPress 7.0.2 or later; it’s available as a Universal binary.
