Apple has posted a maintenance update to Final Cut Express HD, bringing it to version 3.5.1. The update is available as a 14.5MB download from Apple’s Web site.
Final Cut Express HD is Apple’s video editing software that rests between iMovie — the software included with iLife ‘06 — and Final Cut Pro — its professional video editing software that’s included as part of the $1,299 Final Cut Studio. Final Cut Express HD features the same workflow as Final Cut Pro, but sports a more limited feature set.
The update “addresses compatibility on specific hardware,” according to Apple, which offered no further details about what’s changed in the new release.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4.4 or later and Final Cut Express 3.5 or later.
