Advanced Bridging Technologies (ABT) is shipping their iJet Two-Way Remote for iPod. The $129.95 wireless remote control lets users visually navigate their iPod contents from up to 150 feet away.
The iJet consists of two pieces: One plugs into the dock connector found on the bottom of most iPods and the other is a wireless remote that features a built-in LCD screen and control pad.
The LCD screen displays artist, track and playlist information, and can also display the next song. The remote uses Radio Frequency (RF) for longer length and no requirement for line-of-sight to the iPod in order to work.
The developer expects the remote to appeal to users who want to hook up an iPod to a home entertainment system or sound system and want to control the iPod without needing to be close by. What’s more, the remote is water-resistant — ABT claims you can use it in a hot tub, for example.
The iJet is available in black or white finishes.
