SubRosaSoft has released MacForensicsLab v1.6, a new version of its suite of forensics and analysis tools for Mac OS X. A free upgrade for registered users, MacForensicsLab costs $995.
MacForensicsLab includes device imaging tools, catalogs all files, provides keyword searching and analysis capabilities, file salvage and extraction, user-specific information such as browsing habits, caches, address books, cookies and network access, disk arbitration management and more.
Version 1.6 is “fully Universal,” according to SubRosaSoft.com — optimized thoroughly for Intel and PowerPC-based Macs alike. It’s also been updated with a new tool for auditing user-specific information. It also ships on a “dual boot” CD that works with PowerPC and Intel-based Macs.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
