Apple has released Xcode 2.4.1, the newest version of its Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Mac OS X. It’s a recommended update for all programmers working with Xcode 2.2.1 or earlier, and it’s available for download from Apple’s developer Web site.
Xcode is a “graphical workbench” for programmers crafting Mac OS X applications; it integrates a text editor, build control system, debugger, GCC compiler and other features.
New to this release are stability and security fixes in the Xcode IDE, cctools, debugger and compiler. The new release includes Computer Hardware Understanding Development (CHUD) tools v4.4.3 — now available independently of the Xcode Tools releases. And Software Development Kits (SDKs) for Mac OS X v10.3.9 and Mac OS X v10.4u have been updated.
