Information Appliance Associates on Tuesday announced the release of PocketMac SecureNotes, which “acts as a safe deposit box for Macintosh users’ data,” according to the developer. It costs $29.95.
PocketMac SecureNotes is an encrypted database that stores anything from bank account numbers to pictures, movies, snippets of code and more. You can store up to 1GB of information per note. The software is based on a 448-bit encryption scheme.
PocketMac SecureNotes has the ability to export notes as PDF’s or in the native SecureNotes format and also integrates with PocketMac for BlackBerry, the utility that enables users to sync data with BlackBerry handsets (it’s a free download from Research In Motion’s Web site.
