The Sundance Channel announced Tuesday that it is offering select television programming that appears on its cable television channel on the iTunes Store as well. Downloads are priced at $1.99 each.
The company is also offering a free sneak peek of the first episode of “One Punk Under God,” a six-part documentary — that will be available from Dec. 5 – 12, 2006. The series launches on the Sundance Channel the following evening, Dec. 13.
Also available is “The Hill,” a six-part documentary on congressional politics, focusing on the inner workings of the office of Congressman Robert Wexler (D, Florida), including the congressman’s chief of staff, communications director and others.
Other Sundance Channel content made available through the iTunes Store is The Staircase, which examines the mysterious death of Nortel executive Kathleen Peterson; and The First Amendment Project, a three-part series that studies how the First Amendment to the United States Constitution has been tested by political, social and cultural conditions.
Created by motion picture actor (and founder of the Sundance film festival) Robert Redford, Sundance Channel offers independent programming and movies.
