MacPractice on Thursday announced the addition of Canadian e-claims support to its MacPractice DDS software, designed to help dentist’s offices run from Macintoshes. The company said it’s in the process of receiving certification from the Canadian Dental Association (CDAnet).
MacPractice DDS features patient and insurance billing and report generation, scheduling capabilities, integrated word processing functionality and other capabilities. It also integrates with other digital radiography and dental imaging and charting software.
With CDAnet certification, MacPractice DDS will be able to confirm eligibility, inform users of claim errors and let users know if predetermination is required for specific procedures. MacPractice DDS will also provide information on how much insurance will pay for a procedure; patients may receive insurance reimbursement in less than a week, according to the developer.
