Mark/Space on Thursday announced the release of The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile v3.0, a utility that enables users of Windows Mobile handsets and PDAs to exchange data with Mac OS X. It costs $39.95 for download or $49.95 for a CD-ROM.
With The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile, you can exchange data between your Mac and HP iPAQs, HTC TyTN, Motorola Q, Palm Treo 700w and 700wx, T-Mobile Dash and other devices. It supports Windows Mobile 5, Windows Mobile 2002 and 2003. The software lets you sync contact, calendar, task and note information.
New to this release is support for Address Book contact photos, note synching with various Mac applications, file and folder syncing, iPhoto album and iTunes playlist syncing, import of photos and movies with camera-enabled Windows Mobile devices, Safari Web browser bookmark syncing and more.
The note syncing capability works both with Mark/Space Notes, a Mac OS X application that’s bundled with the sync software, and Microsoft Entourage 2004. Additionally, The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile 3.0 also enables synchronization with Bare Bones Software’s Yojimbo 1.3, their information organization software (also updated on Thursday).
Users who bought The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile 2.5 on or after Oct. 1, 2006 are entitled to a free upgrade. Others pay $19.95 for the new versions.
The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile 3.0 requires Mac OS X v10.4.8 or later.
