SpotDJ is a new social networking service that uses Apple’s iTunes software (on the Mac or PC) to act as the common connection between users.
The service works by enabling you to record spots — short segments of commentary — about the music you listen to. Then you can share that information with other SpotDJ users.
SpotDJ has a database that compares the music you’re listening to with unique audio content that other SpotDJ users have recorded, then it plays that information based on your preferences and listening habits. It can also help you find new music based on recommendations from other SpotDJ users.
The service is free, and the software can be downloaded by registering.
