Ending its “Big Week” of announcements, Freeverse Software on Friday announced that it is making its game WingNuts: Temporal Navigator free. Up until now the game’s been available as shareware.
WingNuts is an arcade-style action game that puts you in the cockpits of vintage aircraft as you fly through time on the trail of Baron Von Schtopwatch, an evil (and often silly) maniac who is determined to take over the world by deploying fast squadrons of robot-controlled aircraft. You’ll take the yokes and joysticks of aircraft throughout the years as you try to knock Baron Von Schtopwatch’s hordes out of the sky.
WingNuts features more than 30 levels of action, and the full game is now available as a free download.
“We’ve had a great year, and we just want to say a big thanks for all the support we’ve gotten from the Mac community,” said Freeverse President Ian Lynch Smith.
WingNuts has also spawned a sequel, Wingnuts 2: Raina’s Revenge.
WingNuts: Temporal Revenge is a PowerPC-native application that runs on Mac OS 8.6 – Mac OS X.
