Incipio Technologies on Tuesday introduced The Tarot, a $29.99 remote control that’s compatible with Macs running Front Row. Incipio expects to ship The Tarot on Dec. 20, 2006.
Unlike Apple’s own remote, however, the Tarot features a built-in Secure Digital (SD) flash memory card reader and USB port, so it can be connected to the Mac and transfer data from a camera, PDA or other device.
Although the button layout looks a bit different, functionally the Tarot provides the same capabilities as Apple’s remote — it features a Menu button and five navigation buttons all clustered around each other. The USB interface is hidden beneath a a removable cap on the end of the remote.
