MYOB announced Tuesday the release of MYOB AccountEdge 2007, their small business management and accounting software for Mac OS X. MYOB AccountEdge costs $299 for a single-user license.
MYOB AccountEdge provides the ability to track banking, sales, purchases, time billing, payroll, inventory, customer management and other capabilities for small business owners who run their businesses from their Macintosh.
New in this release is Universal binary support to enable AccountEdge 2007 to run natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. Also new in the 2007 edition is contact synchronization with Mac OS X Address Book, a new “Undo Reconciliation” feature to correct errors when reconciling bank statements and the ability to change a sales order or quote to a purchase order.
Other new features include a new Search By field to locate recurring transactions; customer credit application forms, 14 new letter templates, e-mail payment notification; payroll preview; improved importing and more. MYOB AccountEdge 2007 can read MYOB Premier Accounting for Windows files, and its files can be read by the Windows software as well.
MYOB notes that AccountEdge 2007 Network Edition is available as a PowerPC application only, but a Universal binary version will be offered as a free download upon release.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, G3, 128MB RAM, 40MB hard disk space, 1024 x 768 resolution. Additional system requirements may be necessary for certain features and services.
