H&R Block is bringing its do-it-yourself tax preparation software back to the Mac platform. The company discontinued its Mac product in 2005 citing “small participation from Mac users.”
The last version available for Mac users had some shortcomings that probably led to the low participation, but the newest versions include the missing features and more, according to the company.
TaxCut will be available in three versions: TaxCut Premium Federal ($19.95) — Guidance for all your personal tax situations, from 1040EZ to Schedule C; TaxCut Premium Federal+State ($29.95) — Guidance for all your personal tax situations, from 1040EZ to Schedule C. One state program included at no additional cost — no rebate required; and TaxCut Premium Federal+State+e-file ($59.95) — Guidance for all your personal tax situations, from 1040EZ to Schedule C. One state program and one federal and one state e-file included at no additional cost — no rebate required.
The software can be ordered from the TaxCut Web site.
