Fastmac has expanded the reach of its iPod rehabilitation program (cheekily dubbed “Just Say No To Crack”) to include fourth-generation iPods. The program, which is priced starting at $29.95, repairs cracked or scratched LCD displays on iPods. Previously it was only available for video iPods and iPod nanos.
The LCD rehab program replaces the iPod’s original display with a 100 percent matching Apple original part, according to Fastmac, and includes all necessary tools and instructions for you to do it yourself.
If you’d prefer to let the pros handle it, you can send it in to Fastmac for an additional $39.95 — the company offers pickup, return and 24 hour repair. It’ll also perform a light cleaning and assess the iPod’s condition, advising you of any other repair that might be necessary.
