Sugar Games has released a Macintosh version of Rainbow Mystery, a casual puzzle game first released for PC in November. The game is available for download as a demo now and costs $19.95 to register.
In Rainbow Mystery you must break the curse plaguing the Rainbow lands by solving puzzles. Puzzles feature hexagonal tiles filled with flowers that you can swap and match — match three or more and you’ll make them explode, adding them to your score. Colored cells must be matched to specific flowers, and additional challenges are presented over time, as you are required to make elixirs or recover artifacts which will help you in your quests.
There are Quest and Duel modes, as well as a Relax mode. The Quest mode can be timed or untimed; Duel mode makes you compete with a computer-controlled player, and points go to the player who collects the maximum score faster. There are a total of 70 levels in the game.
Rainbow Mystery requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later — it appears to be a PowerPC-only binary.
