Psychic Software has announced an open beta version release of its turn-based multiplayer game Darkwind.
Taking a page from Mad Max and other post-apocalyptic sci-fi fare, Darkwind takes players to a new continent called Evan, where mankind faces a hostile wilderness plagued by radioactive windows. You are a rogue warrior traveling from town to town, taking part in deadly car races as part of modern gladiatorial combat called “Deathsports.”
Darkwind is a persistent, 3D massively multiplayer wargame that features strategic and tactical elements. It was developed using GarageGames’ multiplatform Torque Game Engine, and runs on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux operating systems.
System requirements call for a 32MB graphics card and any Internet connection.
