Bluebird Music has announced the availability of TL Audio’s Fatman iTube Valve Dock with Speakers, a tube amplifier with iPod dock connector that costs $749.
The iTube docking station works with all dock connector-equipped iPods, according to the company, and includes a remote control that controls power, track, playlist, repeat, mute, volume, treble and bass settings. All connecting wires are provided. The device connects to a TV using a supplied video cable, in case you’re using a video iPod or one that stores photos. The device also features two audio inputs and a headphone jack.
The Fatman iTube Valve Dock outputs 13 watts per channel and weighs about 9.5 pounds. The amp itself measures 10.2 x 5.7 x 5.1 inches; the dock 6.1 x 5.1 x 4.8 inches.
Bluebird also offers the Fatman iTube without speakers.
