Microsoft on Tuesday released updates for Office 2004 and Office v. X, replacing updates that were accidentally posted to the company’s Web site last week. Microsoft said these updates can be applied whether or not you installed the pre-release updaters.
The Office v. X update includes a fix for PowerPoint that caused the application to unexpectedly quit when opening a presentation.
The Office 2004 update includes the PowerPoint fix, as well as several others. Entrourage 2004 now correctly handles contacts with names that contain single quotation marks (‘), double quotation marks (“), and parentheses. Public folders are no longer duplicated and compatibility with Mirapoint Message Server has been improved.
The updates are available from Microsoft’s Web site.
