Belight Software on Wednesday announced the release of Art Text, a new utility that enables you to create headings, logos, icons, banners and buttons. It costs $29.95.
You can modify text and vector shapes and turn them into fancy graphics for your own use, using the resulting work in Microsoft Office, iWork and other applications. Art Text was developed for users who want to create more compelling business presentations, brochures, flyers, postcards, business cards and Web sites.
Art Text includes more than 50 pre-designed styles, 300 pictograms you can use as a source, a Shading Pro tool, to cover or shade any object with shading material, presenting it as glassy, plastic or metallic, smooth or rough.
You can also fill or outline text or artwork with different colors, gradients or textures, apply shadow and glow effects, combine text with background images, bend text using adjustable vector transformations or Bezier curves, and export the resulting work into TIFF, JPEG, PDF, PNG and other graphic formats.
Art Text requires Mac OS X v10.4 or later and is a Universal binary. A demo is available.
