ShapeShifter developer Jason Harris has brought together some of the best Macintosh Shareware developers for a competition to raise money for charity. Dubbed the Holiday Cocoa Duel, the contest includes over a dozen Mac developers who have each created holiday-themed application for the competition. Each developer has chosen a charity where visitors vote on which entry they like the most by donating to that developer’s charity. At the end, the winner is picked by whichever charity got the most donations, according to Harris. The competition will run until Dec. 26 at midnight MST when all donations will be tallied and a winning developer will be declared. Developers taking part in the contest include AppZapper and Disco’s Austin Sarner, iClip’s John Casasanta, and VoodooPad’s Gus Mueller, among others.
