Utility maker You Software released an Intel-native version of You Control: Fonts, the last of its applications that had yet to come out in Universal Binary form. In addition to running natively on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macs, You Control: Fonts 1.2 adds updated compatibility with the current releases of many popular layout, design, and productivity programs, including QuarkXPress 7.
The font control utility lets users see all of the fonts currently activated on their Mac in their own typeface. With You Control: Fonts, users can create a custom font menu to more easily find fonts and font groupings.
In addition to QuarkXPress, You Control: Fonts supports the CS2 versions of Adobe’s Illustrator and InDesign, Apple’s iWork ’06 suite, Microsoft Office 2004, and other applications. A complete list is available at You Software’s Web site.
With this You Control: Fonts update, all You Software utilities that make up the You Control: Suite are available in Universal Binary form. In addition, You Software updated its You Control collection of menu utilities to version 1.4.2 to provide integration with the updated You Control: Fonts.
You Control: Fonts 1.2 is a free update for all registered users. The application costs $19.95. You Control costs $29.95, while the You Control: Suite bundle is currently available at a special price of $69.95.
