Bare Bones Software released upgrades to several applications in its software line, including BBEdit 8.6, Yojimbo 1.4 and TextWrangler 2.2.
Among the new features, BBEdit 8.6 now boasts significantly improved language support as well as new commands and features. This version is also a maintenance release that fixes reported issues and adds several other refinements to this HTML and text editor, including support for “Markdown” text format and greatly enhanced Java and Tex language support.
BBEdit 8.6 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later, and is available for $125. Registered owners of BBEdit 8 can upgrade for $30; registered owners of BBEdit 7 and older can upgrade for $40.
Information organizer Yojimbo 1.4 with AppleScript support for inter-application automation now allows customers to incorporate Yojimbo with other productivity tools in an automatic workflow. Yojimbo 1.4 is also a maintenance release that fixes reported issues and adds several significant refinements. Yojimbo 1.4 requires Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later. An update package is available free of charge to all registered Yojimbo customers.
TextWrangler 2.2 received a major interface overhaul, with changes designed to streamline navigation and ease discovery of TextWrangler’s feature set. TextWrangler 2.2 is available immediately, free of charge for all Mac users and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
