Fidelity Media has released a new version of MegaSeg, the company’s DJ mixing software. Among other changes MegaSeg 4.0.1 adds support for the DAC-3 rack-mount USB controller and the MK2 Hercules DJ Console. The update also fixes several bugs including the fine-tune arrows for cue-in and segue time now adjust by .01 instead of .05. and a bug that caused ID3 v2.2 tags to be read incorrectly. MegaSeg enables DJs and radio stations to put their music libraries on their Mac and seamlessly segue between songs or music videos, trigger sound effects via hot keys, note requests via color coded request lists, cue tracks via a second sound output, create dynamic scheduled playlists and program timed playlist events. The update is available from the company’s Web site.
