SplashCast has introduced a public beta version of its new media creation and syndication service aimed at consumers. The service lets users create “channels” that can include audio, video, music, text and other types of content. The service is Web-based and works with Mac OS X, Windows and Linux operating systems.
The streaming channels produced by SplashCast users can also include narration and Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds. That content can then be played or syndicated on any Web site, blog or social networking page; when you update your SplashCast channel, the content is automatically update on any Web pages that have been “tuned” to that channel.
