Nolobe has announced that it’s acquired the popular file transfer software Interarchy from Stairways Software. The company has also released Interarchy 8.5, a free update for registered users of 8.x, or $59.95 to register.
Interarchy enables you to upload, download, edit, mirror and manage Web sites and other online content. It supports FTP, FTP/SSH, FTP/SSL-TLS, HTTP, HTTPs, WebDAV, WebDAVs, iDisk and Amazon S3 protocols. A 14-day free trial version is available for download.
Nolobe was founded by Matthew Drayton, who has led development of Interarchy for a while now. The company said it will honor all existing licenses for Interarchy and is continuing development of the software — it expects to release a 9.0 version later this year.
New to the 8.5 release is the Open In Terminal command, which lets you create a remote SSH session for any remote folder from Interarchy. The user interface has been tweaked with a redesign to the Get Info window; a new Script Menu lets you work with AppleScripts more easily. Bookmarks and other menus can also now be accessed via the Finder Dock.
Interarchy 8.5 requires Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later.
