Macgamestore.com and Big Fish Games have announced the release of Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst, a new casual puzzle game for the Macintosh. It costs $19.95 and a downloadable demo is available.
Players assume the role of Master Detective as they try to unravel the history of Ravenhearst Manor by finding the missing pages of Emma Ravenhearst’s diary. You look through the manor’s 32 rooms to find clues, locating and assembling the diary pages to unlock the mystery.
The Mystery Case Files games take a page from the popular series of “I Spy” books and software titles — each room is a beautiful picture chock-full of different objects; you get to find items on a list, sometimes hidden in plain sight, sometimes cleverly disguised into the background. There are dozens of puzzles to solve, with thousands of hidden objects. Levels will change each time you play, as well.
System requirements call for a G3/400MHz or faster, 128MB RAM and Mac OS X.
