Apple on Tuesday set the date for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. The 2007 conference will be held in San Francisco, Calif. between June 11-15, 2007.
“WWDC 2006 was our largest developer conference ever and we look forward to topping it in 2007,” Lynn Fox, Apple’s director of Mac PR, told Macworld. “We will continue to keep developers updated as conference sessions and tracks take shape.”
Apple typically uses the conference to bring developers together with its engineers, allowing them face time to learn about new technologies. While the conference is closed to the public, Apple CEO Steve Jobs has used past developer conferences to show off the latest advances in the company’s operating system.
With Mac OS X Leopard expected in the first half of 2007, it is possible we will see the official launch of Leopard at WWDC.
