SubRosaSoft.com on Wednesday announced the release of DasBoot, utility that turns the iPod into a bootable Mac OS X diagnostic, repair and maintenance tool. It also works with flash drives and small portable hard drives.
DasBoot doesn’t include the diagnostic software itself — it’s simply a freeware utility used to make it possible to utilize iPods, flash disks and small portable hard drives as boot volumes, so you can run Mac OS X diagnostic software from them.
