Macworld Expo wrapped up a little more than a month ago, but I thought we’d revisit some of the more interesting third-party products to appear at the annual Mac trade show in this edition of the Macworld Video Podcast. I focus on software, profiling four programs on display at Expo that stood out from the crowd—in my opinion, anyway.

Show Notes
The products that caught my eye at Expo include:
- DiskWarrior 4, from AlSoft: Earlier this month, Macworld reviewed the latest version of the disk maintenance and repair tool, awarding it with a -rating.
- Protogo, from Micromat: This application turns an iPod into a bootable diagnostic tool containing several Micromat utilities including TechTool Pro 4.
- ArtRage 2, from Ambient Design: There’s also a free version of this $20 painting app.
- Toast Titanium 8, from Roxio: I concentrate on the TiVo Transfer feature in this disk-burning utility (and also point you to TiVoDecoder, an AppleScript that gets you around the 320-by-240-resolution restriction for exporting video from TiVo.
Toast 8, of course, was a Best of Show winner at Macworld Expo.
I also briefly mention another Best of Show winner, Axiotron’s ModBook. In the time since I produced this video for Macworld print subscribers, we got our hands on this tablet Mac—Jonathan Seff profiled it in the last Macworld Video episode as part of his first look at the ModBook.
