Mark Morris on Tuesday announced the release of PhotoUpLink, a plug-in for Apple’s iPhoto software that makes it possible for your to upload iPhoto images directly to an FTP server. I costs $24.99.
You can also use PhotoUpLink to upload iPhoto images to any Open DataBase Connectivity (ODBC)-compliant data source or export to Excel or FileMaker and SQL databases. It provides the ability to include iPhoto keywords and IPTC header content, and it also works with secure FTP (SFTP) servers.
PhotoUpLink can also integrate with Microsoft Office applications — it can create a PowerPoint presentation or Word document based on selected photos. It can also create custom e-mails that will have an AppleScript attachment that enables the recipient to import uploaded photos directly into a new iPhoto album — a Windows version is also available. What’s more, you can also use PhotoUpLink to join photos together in panoramas, or join short QuickTime movies.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.4.8 and iPhoto 5. PhotoUpLink is a Universal binary.
