Phelios and Space Ewe on Wednesday announced the release of a Universal binary version of the “jump and run” style platform action game Bud Redhead. It costs $19.95 to register.
Bud Redhead is a platform action game in the style of Super Mario Bros. and other games of that ilk — you play through four different locations ranging from an ancient forest to Egypt to medieval castles to a space ship orbiting the planet Saturn far in the future. Your job, as the title character Bud, is to rescue your girlfriend Rachel.
Bud Redhead features 20 levels, five in each world, a Big Boss level at the end, moving platforms, doors, levers, ropes and other hazards, gold coins, jewels and fruits to collect, secret areas in each levels, automatic game saving between levels, and more.
A free demo version is available. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later, 256MB RAM and OpenGL graphics with 32MB VRAM. Click here to read a Macworld review.
