Charlie’s Games and Macgamestore.com have announced the release of Bullet Candy Version 2. It’s a major update to an arcade shooter for Mac OS X that draws on inspiration from the arcade classic Robotron. Bullet Candy costs $10.
In Bullet Candy, you have to shoot everything on the screen — the game playing field rapidly fills up with abstract shapes and tons of visual effects. You can move anywhere on the screen and, more important, shoot anywhere on the screen. While the game works with your keyboard and mouse, you can also use a dual analog gamepad for optimal control.
New to this release of Bullet Candy is a menu system, keyboard-only controls, bug fixes, new effects and other changes.
System requirements call for 1 GHz G4 or better, 256MB RAM and a 32MB of better 3D graphics card. A downloadable demo is available.
