AKVIS has released an updated version of their Sketch plug-in, which works with Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Corel Painter and other applications. It’s a free upgrade for registered users and costs $72.
Sketch converts photos into pencil sketches and watercolor-style drawings. You can imitate graphite or color pencils, charcoal or watercolor painting with Sketch.
New to this release is the ability to save and edit user presets, a bug fix for a problem that caused false display and processing after layer transformation or movement, and a new Mac installation method — drag and drop the AKVIS Sketch folder into the Plugins folder of your photo editor.
AKVIS Sketch v3.0 requires a compatible photo editor and Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later, a G3 or better and 256MB RAM. A 10-day trial version is available for download.
