That R2 unit is in prime condition, a real bargain

Oh, man, I know what I’m getting for Christmas. R2-D2 and the rest of the Star Wars gang turn 30 next year and it’s almost hard to believe. Still, you can celebrate by going out and snagging yourself an interactive R2-D2 Astromech Droid from the Sharper Image for just $120. R2 responds to voice commands and even recognizes the names of other Star Wars characters, like C-3PO, Chewbacca, and Luke Skywalker.

Better yet, R2 has an extendable arm that can hold a drink, so you can always tell him to roll off and grab you a can of beer from the fridge. He’s a little smaller than the original R2 unit, at just 16.5″x 11″x11″, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have heart . R2 runs on 4AA and 4D batteries (who knew?) and operates in three modes: companion, game, and command.

No word on whether or not he comes with concealed Death Star plans, but I’m guessing you’d find out pretty quick.
