If only you’d been smart enough to invest in IO-Data’s new HDMC-U series hard drive. A waterproof rubber material wrapped around the outside only underscores that this sucker is both shock and water-resistant (up to 1 meter). It features a USB 2.0 interface, and measures a teeny tiny 52.0(W) x 59.5(D) x 18.0(H) mm. It’ll be available in 8GB (¥15,700; ~$108) and 12GB (¥21,000;~$181) capacities later this month in Japan. A small price to pay for being able to say, in complete confidence, “You ain’t got nothin’ on me, copper.”
