Will WildCharge handle your wireless recharging needs?

Yet another entrant in the field of wireless charging. As much as like the idea, I can’t shake this creepy feeling of voodoo . I mean, how do you recharge a battery without wires? WildCharge claims that they use the principle of induction, though the catch is that your devices will need to be equipped with special faceplates that allow the induction to work.

Assuming that’s done, you’ll simply rest your device on this plate (prototype shown), and your battery power will be restored, as if by magic . WildCharge is planning to ship their charger early next year, though it remains to be seen if manufacturers will start equipping their devices with induction-capable surfaces. Until that happens, induction charging is likely to be a niche technology.
