Perhaps it’s just because they haven’t found a good way to film it. But that could all change with Royal College of Art grad Adam Sutcliffe’s Catchu Camera. The theory is that this solid-state video camera is attached to a frisbee, and records video as the disc flies along its path. A vane on the top of the disc keeps the camera pointed in the right direction the whole time. It’s estimated to run for about $83 when it does see release, but right now it’s mainly a concept.
Granted, this wouldn’t be super useful in actual league play, as the camera attachment probably unbalances the only disc. Still, I’d be curious to see how well this thing held up to a good hammer.
